When “self-freelanced” reporter Stacy Walsh happens on some strange occurrences she ends up meeting the crew of an alien conspiracy show. The crew consist of Jerry the eccentric believer and show creator, Glen the cynical yet charming host and non-believer, and Curtis the much maligned, abused and scapegoated cameraman. Curtis is never seen on camera. There is also butting heads between Stacy and Glen as their strong personas often clash, though there may be something there…
The show follows their travels the country side, as they track down the alien menace. It is presented with found footage from Curtis, web-cam testimonials and other footage from security cameras, dash cams and the like.
In the pilot Stacy notices some strange lights in the sky on the demo reel she is making. She ends up meeting Jerry who is investigating the same sighting. Jerry introduces her to the crew of an alien conspiracy show he runs. This includes Glen an improv actor who is only on the show because he is childhood friends with Jerry. There is also Curtis the camera guy. Together they go out to the source of the lights and find a farm that has been raided of its crops and cows. Jerry believes that Earth is being invaded for its resources. They decide to follow their next lead, but are also followed by strange men in suits.
